Do not include large sections of a message in your reply. Especially not to say "Yeah, I agree." Those who do will be lynched. 2. Use an appropriate Subject line. RQR: will be prepended to it. 3. Do not engage in a point-by-point analysis or rebuttal of another person's message. It is too confusing for others to follow, qualifies as nit-picking, and it usually leads to flame wars. 4. I have a penchant to chuck in such a critter, but no idea how it'll interpret. Animate Bronze would be a start, but what's the Golem gonna be like ? Ideas, anyone ? ------------------------------ From: BRIAN.B.D.PINCH@BHPMELMSM.BHP.bhpmel04.telememo.au Date: Wed, 28 Dec 1994 16:40:14 +1000 Subject: RQR: Spirit Magic Fumbles & Criticals >> From: "Aden Steinke" >> Confess Brian, tell them that you are the party healer and only have a >> 30% chance of casting spirit magic..... and so are very disturbed by >> >> the high possibility of fumbling! Aden I only gave healing as an example, and yes I do I play a healer (with more than a 50% chance of throwing spirit magic). Having thought more on fumbles during non-combat situations any 'pressure' is likely to be less allowing greater concentration, probably resulting in less harmful outcomes for fumbles. But probably still entertaining to the GM and the other players. My opinion on fumbles is that the die roll shouldn't determine fumbles which kill (directly or indirectly) characters. I am a player after all. And the answer, possibly anticipated by Ralf, is the Lunars -boo,hiss,boo!- led on the slimy, nasty side by Lunar Agent Halcyon var Enkorth and Jalakeel/7M Priestess Marusa the Shrew, on the slightly more honest, martial side by Commander Euryptus the Bold, and on the quite nice, religious side by Elecora Kindtongue (7M High Priestess). It's the same dummy royal family... - ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Be Pure 'The Sayings of Torquemada' Be Vigilant Nemesis the Warlock BEHAVE!!! 2000AD - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of RQ Rules Digest: V1 #47 ****************************** This is the bottom of the RuneQuest Rules Digest.
