Do not include large sections of a message in your reply. Especially not to say "Yeah, I agree." Those who do will be lynched. 2. Use an appropriate Subject line. RQR: will be prepended to it. 3. Do not engage in a point-by-point analysis or rebuttal of another person's message. It is too confusing for others to follow, qualifies as nit-picking, and it usually leads to flame wars. 4. This would make Damage Resistance a useful complement to normal >armour (rather than being a rather redundant adjunct or risky alternative >to armour). It's been changed in RQ:AiG. I ran this recently, and the spell actually worked. The players didn't realize the rules change, and thought that about double the actual amount of sorcery was in effect. (This is a good thing -- none of their characters knows any sorcery.) Steve Bonnot wondered > HAs anyone heard anything new about the RuneQuest >con in South San Francisco lately. There wae a flurry >of flyers out and then silence. Any news out there? So far as I know, it's still on for 13-16 January. I would debate that; quite often the answers are a bit different and the various comments are useful and interesting. It also provides a view of how many people are interested. However, if its' "Yes, 50 and a gerbil" answers, you're right. ------------------------------ From: PAUL POFANDT Date: Mon, 5 Dec 94 11:33:14 +1100 Subject: RQR: RE: Matricies and Conditions G'day On the topic again of matricies and conditions, It has always been my rulling that any conditions applied to an enchantment, 'seals' the enchantment and binds the whole series of spells, spirits and conditions as one inalterable unit. I know that this is counter to the rules that state that extra conditions can be applied at a later date, however, producing a fully functioning magic item, then expanding it's powers at a later date never felt right. It feels too much like defining an item, then re-defining it again later. Any suggestions? Catch Ya Paul. ------------------------------ End of RQ Rules Digest: V1 #36 ****************************** This is the bottom of the RuneQuest Rules Digest.
