Do not include large sections of a message in your reply. Especially not to say "Yeah, I agree." Those who do will be lynched. 2. Use an appropriate Subject line. RQR: will be prepended to it. 3. Do not engage in a point-by-point analysis or rebuttal of another person's message. It is too confusing for others to follow, qualifies as nit-picking, and it usually leads to flame wars. 4. There is no number 4. Actually, they have been since day 1 of the rq-rules-digest but I hesitated to announce them until everything else was working. You can retrieve a list of the digests by sending mail to majordomo@hops.wharton.upenn.edu with "index rq-rules-digest" in the body of the message. The issues will be listed out for you in a return message. To retrieve an issue of the digest, or any other file which might be in the directory, send a message to the same location with "get rq-rules-digest " in the message body. Replace with the real name of the file. - -- Loren Miller I can tell by your shoes that you are a lover of liberty ------------------------------ From: rollin@EQL12.Caltech.Edu Date: Thu, 10 Nov 94 16:03:29 PST Subject: RQR: Shamens: - A correction: (and apologies) Firstly, when I mentioned "three major magic types", I was refering to the RQ3 triad of Sorcerors, Shamans and Priests. (Not that someone couldn't or shouldn't come up with others.) I also, typing w/o thinking refered to Shamans teaching a spell, which of course they don't. "Procuring a spell spirit for" would be a better phraseology. Mia apologia. ------------------------------ End of RQ Rules Digest: V1 #10 ****************************** This is the bottom of the RuneQuest Rules Digest.
